Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

  • @eross how do you like the Sensil as a controller? Been trying to decide between that and the Joué or a conventional controller.

  • Elctricians are actually working in what will be my new music room.
Later, acousticians will come and treat the room.
Can’t wait to work in this room!

Some really nice setups here. I just reconfigured my little closet studio around my two Elektrons and my iPad.

I’ve got my little studio set up in a closet also!😊

Time to come out of the closet.

    it is 2019

your grandmother deserves better treatment anyway.

i love that thing! highly highly recommend. I had a Roli light block before that, which was ok, but a pain in the ass to set up. thins is so simple to set up, and the swappable surface makes it even better. I love that i can be playing piano, or controlling mpe with the keyboard layout. And instantly swap over to the mic interface and it automatically is mapped for my drums and i can just play. no stopping and changing setting. it so fast. let me know if you ha e any other questions. > @audiblevideo said:

Don’t have pix of current studio and too messy right now to photograph. It is also minimal compared to past studios, which have a lot more hardware to see. So for now, let us set the Wayback Machine...

This was the late 90s (CDs, SCSI, CRTs):

  • This was the aughts:

  • This is from my current studio, but only shows the drum station:

Hahaha! I wish I had the room for a proper studio space in our current house...but, for now, this is the best it’s gonna get! Hoping to purchase a new home in 2019...I told my wife that room for my gear is at the top of my priority list!!!

On a side note, the Grandmother is on loan to my buddy who’s working on his new record...he let me borrow his OP-1 as collateral until he’s done! Fun little synth/sampler/noise thingy it’s turning out to be!

It’s this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000W08CIA/ref=pe_385721_37038051_TE_dp_1 - pretty solid construction with a heavy cast iron base. You do need to tighten it like crazy to prevent the mic drooping, but all in all it’s been great

I tell you what...acoustic treatment made a bigger difference than any other piece of gear for my mixing and mastering.
