What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. I know there's far more in there than I elicit too, their apps are like the unknowns of a highly specialised laboratory in which I'm somewhat under qualified. For mine ears it has a real individual sound to it, a la the likes of DRC, Sunrizer, Red Shrike, et al.

Can we please get a scrolling AUv3 version like seen on the Redshrike synth? The current AU usability is... well... painful.

Laplace now has the scrolling GUI as well in its newest Aux update.
I was super impressed with the Mood beta and loved it but have to say that the AU GUI does keep me from getting it.
So, did anyone say how we're meant to pronounce the name of this synth?

...then the red sky patches have me wanting to buy it. I suppose i can audition/tweak in the iaa version then just load the patch in the AU. OK Gus, sold! Nice chattin.

I have a question: Page 7 of the manual under "Samples" says "...Here it is possible to Load a file in one of two Samplers (i.e. Sampler ch. 1 and Sampler ch. 2)...". Is there a 2nd sampler that I am not seeing? I can't find it (which is not rare for me).
Doh... except you cant load your IAA saved patches in the AU...? is this one of those 'Yay, for iOS!' things?
Yeah you can. You can import/export banks from IAA to AU and vice versa
I personally can't see how anyone would use the AU otherwise. It's a mess of menus.
The AU seems like the iPhone GUI.

ahh i see, cool, thanks for the tip. so save the patch in a bank by itself then import it. Would be nice to send a single patch but i guess this works.

Some great Presets by the Gang here too. Well done guys.
I'm wondering if there is an easier way to midi Learn Controls?
It currently requires many taps for each control.
1) Top Right Menu Icon
2) Control Icon
3) Scroll & find the control
4) Tap on Control
5) Turn Off ( because tapping the midi icon itself dosen't put the control in 'listen' mode)
6) Tap Midi Icon
7) Twist Midi Controller Knob
8) Click 'Done
& Repeat
Mapping Synths always seems easier if you can hit just one "MIDI LEARN' button and then a simple 2 Step process.
1) Tap Synth Parameter
2) Twist Midi Controller Knob

Really loving the sound of Mood and excited to get lost inside for a few hours.
Look forward to the AU update. I agree it needs the tabs at the top for quicker access, would love more colour options in all the Apesoft apps with a true black etc. But it sounds great and is getting more use than Model 15 for me since it's an AU and can be layered easily.
Built in midi learn on the AU interface would also be nice for Audiobus 3....currently they are greyed out.
I prefer the current mode in which one can simply assign the CC number, something that's lacking in a lot of synths which only know midi-learn.
Try a 'teach' with multi-controller surfaces like TC-Data and similiar apps...

If I know the controller number, why on earth do most apps require this teach or learn mode? Simply give me the option to simply type in a midi controller number in addition to the teach/learn mode which is really useful if you don't already know the controller number.

it's the same process you describe, just with the pencil icon (after tapping the midi symbol) to enter CC and Channel numbers.
Not very elegant, but at least you stay on the midi page to select one item after the other.
@scarbo I've lost my midi Mappings half a dozen times so far.
It seems they're being lost when changing Preset
How are these saved?
Surely it's Global no?

I don't have Mood (yet), but a typical apeSoft / Amazing Noises controller can be:
1) Double-tapped to bring up it's individual control panel popup window
2) Tap on the popup window's Control Icon
3) Tap MIDI Icon
4) Twist MIDI controller knob or manually enter the value through the edit button at the bottom of the popup
5) Click 'Done'
Yeah, it's a few more taps than other apps but then other apps don't have all of the control that apeSoft / Amazing Noises do for each controller, including:
-assigning a range to the MIDI control
-assigning a sync-able, 7 waveform LFO with range
-assigning accelerometer X or Y with different gravity and ranges
-assigning a keyboard Y-axis scrub control with velocity and range
-assigning front panel control sensitivity
-assigning color-coding

Control Manager settings (including MIDI) are saved per preset.
I create a full mapping for every control and then save that as "MIDI Configured Init Preset" to create new presets off of.
However, in the Settings you can turn "Include Control Manager in Presets" off.
So, if you already have Presets that don't have your full MIDI mapping, you can:
-make sure "Include Control Manager in Presets" is on
-load your MIDI configured preset
-turn off "Include Control Manager in Presets"
-load your other Presets - these will now have the full MIDI configuration.
At this point you could save them so they have the MIDI configuration and turn "Include Control Manager in Presets" back on.
Note, the only shortcoming of these apeSoft / Amazing Noises apps is that these controls in the Control Manager are mutually exclusive. e.g. If you set a per-knob LFO you can't also set a MIDI control.
But then, most apps don't even have separate LFOs for every knob, so it's still pretty damn cool!
