Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Which app update are you looking most forward to?

Oh yeah, that's been brewing for so long I'd forgotten about it.

  • Impaktor just got updated to 64-bit architecture.

    Reality:
    BM3 release
    KRFT CoreMIDI and AB3 MIDI
    LayR community preset sharing
    Mood release

    Dreams:
    iDS-10 Link
    iM1 universal
    Mersenne universal
    Patterning universal
    Samplr update

    Edit:
Added Mood, year of the four letter app I tell ya! Is it premature to list an app that isn't even officially in beta yet? When it's from apeSoft, I think not. Besides it'll probably be out before BM3 (refer to couch emoji above)

Officially moving Mersenne to the reality list. WIth Laplace going universal, surely Mersenne will follow!

Oh, and yep, Mood was released before BM3, heh

    As both look dead.
And i don´t want to buy dead software, in sight of iOS 11 ...

If the rest of the app was subpar, I wouldn't mention it. But they really do have quite a nice setup going, so I'm hopeful.

  • Xynthesizr says they are beta-testing Link support. That's hot. Hope they could also include 64 steps and pattern banks.
Also, I wish DRC Synth has AU support.

  • BM4 and Jailbreak

  • DM2 was just updated! Midi learn and some other stuff. This is so so good. I will definitely be using it a lot and I just had a great run with it in Cubasis. Really fun.

Orphion was updated last week. It only added support for Audiobus 3 with MIDI, but good to know it hasn't been abandoned as the previous update was Sept 2015.

I'm hoping for an Impaktor update.

orphion kind of unplayable on ipad pro touchscreen =/

What is Patterning supposed to get? Seems very complete to me now that it has multiple outputs.

_the 7 things I'm most interested in and would find quite useful are:

    universal
multiple pattern play at the same time

probability for almost all of the parameters!!!!

pitch lock to scales. (many scales)

    proper zoom sample editing

pattern choke within the same pattern (itself) so we don't have to waste other patterns just for choking when we want a pattern to choke within itself.

more Fx- modulation, timeshiftimg, feed backing, cross multi manglinggggggg fx_

agree 100%. If there were simply more tracks one can use in each session, then the probability issue could be dealt with by creating multiple instances of the same sound with subtle shifts in parameters. Of course this means manually creating something that probabilities would be generating ad infinitum, so it's not the same thing, but the outcome for most purposes (= having a loop where things change a little) would suffice.

Dreams do come true! Mersenne is now officially universal :)

  • Gadget, folders for samples. Please. Seriously.

  • I really want Patterning, Fugue Machine, Thor, and Addictive Pro to go Universal
Samplr to prove it's not abandoned

    A tuner-module would be nice.

Oh, and the range of styles in their shop could be a bit broader and more towards EDM.
