Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
Question for owners of both Cubasis 2 and 3 (answered)
Since the icons are the same, how do apps like Dropbox differentiate between the two when exporting to CB?
Comments
Exporting what? Mixdown? Audio clip? Midi file? Project?
With the exception of a project, it will make no difference. In the case of a project, Dropbox doesn't have anything to do with it. The receiving Cubasis should import to the appropriate version if both are installed. If not then there is a converter to go from a 2 to 3 project. Probably you cannot open a Cubasis 3 project in Cubasis 2.
(paragraph above not tested ... except for the explanation that Dropbox or not has no effect.)
There are not the same.
The new one looks older, fading out - while the old one looks young and fresh.
@wim, exporting a wav file into CB3 for ex. @tja, subtle, baby, subtle. Does the type appear under the icon in Dropboxor Audioshare?
OK. A wav file isn't associated with any particular program as it can be exported and imported by many apps. So, it should not have a Cubasis icon associated with it at all, and it should happily open in either version.
All iOS, Dropbox, etc. see is that it's an audio file.
Ok @wim, I am not being clear. In DB when it says “open in” I will have both CB2 and 3. How does DP discriminate between the two as the icons are the same?
Yes the name of the program appears...
Ah,thanks @lsd87. Much appreciated.
