Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Recording looping midi buffer?
Hello
Is anyone aware of an app running on iphone that allows you to capture and loop incoming midi signals live?
For example -if I am running a lead, bass, and drum synth on my phone and have incoming midi data coming from 3 different controllers, I would like to be able to capture input from each controller and loop it within a buffer
Musicality and quantization/the loop lengths syncing up is not important to me I simply want to capture and loop midi data regardless of if it syncs up with the other instruments

There will be one very soon - Photon, by @midiSequencer.
Amazing where can I learn more? Will it also be able to record/output Z input of the xy pad? (Meaning finger press/finger release)

Draft version of the manual, hot off the presses today, I believe:

As far as I know, it should capture any midi data you throw at it ... so provided your pad actually does output Z input, I expect so.
Not iPhone compatible at first release though.
