Based on my own link to a video from @thesoundtestroom (not embedding the video, but calling directly YouTube - see https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/59941/anyone-remember-scape-i-m-amazed-it-still-works-first-released-about-11-years-ago for details) I finally visited his YouTube channel:

And to my surprise and joy, I noticed a video about Meow Audio Editor, scheduled for UTC 21:00 / UTC 9PM, in about 1,5 hours:

Hey! Yes @thesoundtestroom has already let me know and I'll actually be joining the Live Chat there. (I think the video is not a live stream, but "just" a premiere... anyway it'll be fun!)

Did you say the Graphic EQ can only be applied to the whole audio?
Actually, I believe that the filters incl. the EQ do work on the current selection.

@tja No, I just applied the EQ to the whole file in the video, you can apply any of the process effects to any region you select.
