I currently sync my iPhone with media monkey, but my windows laptop is dying.

I bought a MacBook Air.

Should I just load my mp3s into iTunes?

Or is there something like media monkey for Mac? Maybe even something that handles syncing to Files (rather than Music), but can still update star ratings?
