Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Vidibox tutorial needed!

Ok I have watched the youtube tutorials by the dev and Ive tried to put something together but I just cant make sense of it. When i fire up the app the metronome immediately comes on and so I import some drums, hit record and make some beats. Then i stop record and it seems to process it but when i hit play expecting it to play back what i just recorded, it just blanks me. I am almost certainly being stupid but the app seems to have so much going for it I want to persevere and learn how to import my own samples and loops. Anyone know of an idiots guide?

@Clocktoys I think the video recording goes straight to your camera roll for viewing.

  • this app is just what i needed......its awesome .... i also need to learn it

  • Playing with the demo files was instructive for me.

  • The thing that appeals to me is bending it to my own ends (i.e. Making a song with it rather than a rhythm driven beatbox piece). Its a shame the app only works in the input slot of AB when intuitively you would want it at the other end of the pipe. I would also like to see a simple way of combining/syncing an audio clip with a piece of video within the app.
