The Building of Time

The Building of Time is a part of a larger poem by William Blake.
I had an old vinyl recording I liked that I sampled as a starting point using Koala, playing and re-ordering snippets. Meanwhile I’d been trying to figure out the Poseidon synth (which still puzzles me) and settled on some sounds that I played using several short chord progressions sequenced with Suggester and recorded as loops. In AUM I played the Koala poem segments through Sparkle as the ‘source’ and the recordings of Poseidon chords as the ‘target’ and fed the whole conglomeration through Shimmer. I added some samples of gongs for punctuation and arranged it all in MultiTrack.
