Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Trance with a gamelan twist...

I made this in Nanostudio 2. The flute sound and gamelan sounds come from Beathawk (exported as loops rather than using Beathawk as an AU), and everything else is Obsidian. Mastered with MagicDeathEyeStereo into BarkFilter into Barricade.

I hope you enjoy it. Cheers. :)

  • Great production... that 3 triple threat mastering combo is still "the best kept secret" on the forum. Unless you read here regularly and then it's just "the way to master" without getting all anal over it.

    Thanks mate. :)

This mastering combo really is the dog's nuts if you're mastering a single track or a radio edit and extended version all in the same project. For mastering an album with different tracks...that requires adding an EQ to each track to get the tracks to cohesively match one another sonically. That's when things get truly anal, headaches are formed, tears are shed. I mean, if you know, you know mate.

The sooner Nanostudio 2 adds audio tracks, the sooner I can start thinking about creating an album rather than just posting single tracks here and there. NS2 with audio tracks would be the easiest environment to master in (for me at any rate).
