Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Not hearing sound from Auria when recording?

edited April 2014 in App Tips and Tricks

I have an input app and recording into auria ... But I don't hear myself playing as I'm recording ... How do I monitor?

  • You probably need to open the output matrix and route your track to the headphones.

  • There's also a setting for AB live monitoring in the setting section.

  • Honestly I've found Auria's implementation of AB so clunky and fully of compromises (no Conv Reverb when using AB? Really?) That I've resorted to recording to AudioShare instead, then sending the resultant WAV to Auria.

Even then I'm running into some weird bug in Auria where playback is screwed up after importing audio until I restart the app. Wonderfully powerful DAW but man can it be annoying sometimes.

  • I agree with @dumbledog, and as a result I also don't really use the Auria/AB combo. Just too much overhead with Auria I guess. I either use IAA or I record into another app first.
