Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

AUM bug with long channel names

edited November 2020 in General App Discussion

I have discovered that when I have a long file* loaded in the file player in an AUM slot, selecting the 'MIDI CTRL' option from the menu freezes AUM, then after a delay of 20 or 30 seconds crashes. When I load a shorter audio file everything works okay.

Dunno what sense to make of this, but it's what I see. Does anyone know where to report AUM bugs officially?

(* The particular file I was using is 20 mins long)

This an iPad Pro 12.9" 2nd generation. And iPadOS 13.4.

  • Turns out this is a bug with long channel names, or obliquely with long filenames, since the channel name defaults to the filename. A fix is on the way.
