Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Mononoke, Noir, Zeeon and a seabird

Finally finished something again, so posting in celebration!

In this track, Mononoke is the lead, with a rhytmic element introduced to the sound by partly vocoding a drum track (using Ruismaker and Rozetta) onto the drone synth sound, resulting in something like a rhytmic tremolo effect with a bit of character from the drums added. The drums on the track are all from Ruismaker Noir however.

The seagull bit in the middle is chopped, stretched and mangled directly in Auria; the rest is partly sequenced and partly played manually in AUM with loops exported and assembled in Aria.

Bassline is Zeeon.

Effects used: AD Filterstation for the bassline. Kosmonaut on the lead for some almost-reverb. FAC Maxima and Transient on some tracks. AD Eos on snares. BlueMangoo Stereo Lag on the bird, AD Dubstation on the final awk.

For the mixing, I’ve recently gotten Fabfiler Q3 and TB Barricade; very very good stuff. Also used AD Roughrider 3 one place, and Blue Mangoo Stereo Width. All done in Auria
