Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Difference between 3 & mini running same setup

Hi folks. I am seeing a difference in AB and app function between an iPad 3 16 and an iPad mini 16.

Both running 7.0.4
Both running latest versions of all apps and AB noted below.
Both hard rebooted.

Chain: Animoog -> Magellan (FX slot for FX) -> Speaker.

I start AB. I start Animoog in Input. Set Output to speaker. All good.

Then I start Magellan in the FX slot. Starts. All good.

Then I switch back to Animoog.

On the 3, I see the Magellan icon. On the mini I see a gray square. I can switch back to Magellan, and to and fro. But, still a gray square.

I can also turn off the FX from the Animoog AB tab just fine. So, functioning. But, also Magellan crashed out at least once before I rebooted the mini.

Any thoughts, tips?

Kind regards

Derek.

  • This should work fine on a mini. I would try with 512 buffer.

Really, though, it sounds like something a hard reboot of your iPad would solve.

  • Appreciate the tips.

Did that already. Buffer is at 512 already.

    It's odd...
