Gear Setup question
I am looking for a way to have my iPad and iPhone connected by USB to my Macbook so I can play audio from them through the external speakers connected to the Macbook.
I know about IDAM (afaik) you either have to have that setup in a DAW or a third party program in order to pass audio. Also, you have to enable them in the Audio MIDI setup and switch between them in the app. It is a little finicky, I would like something more seamless.
The Novation AudioHub looks interesting but I don't know if will allow the audio from a USB device to pass through in this way.

Think you're looking for the iConnectAudio4+. It will allow you to have it all hooked up and routed through the Mac.
Haven’t heard of that company. Are they pretty reliable?
You are probably looking for the digital signal quality, but I do this with 2 iPads running Jack out to a cheapo mixer, and have my powered speakers connected to the mixer output. I am lo-fi by necessity, not choice.
Yeah I am that would be easier though.
Check out studiomux. I use it to hook up my iPhone and iPad. It routes 8 audio tracks and all the midi (pretty well anyways). On the Mac side it's a VST/audio unit. Then all you need is the USB ports to plug them both in. I've found the iPad has to have a dedicated USB port but the iPhone can go through a USB hub.
