Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Using some of those new Korg Module goodies

Still waiting for the mythical NS2...but Korg stuff is great, and I actually finish things in Gadget.

Comments

  • Very atmospheric.

  • Nice. Been playing with that cello since it arrived....

  • I have some questions. Are all sounds from the song from Korg Module? If so, what is the patch name for the bells? They sound amazing! And the cello is also excellent! Where is it from?

  • Lovely! Pad it out to ten minutes and maybe it'll get on a spotify 'chillout' playlist. ;)

That'll be the cello from Module's new 'Orchestral Dreams' pack. Here are the relevant threads:

    The track description from soundcloud:

    Quoth @iansainsbury:
All Korg gadget with one cymbal sample and drumjam loop added. Using the new module orchestral samples...with that beautiful solo cello. Audio mastering app to finish.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. The bells were Chang Mai 04: digit bells, tweaked a bit.

Cheers...has the chill out playlist now officially replaced soft porn video soundtracks as the aspiration for musicians writing instrumentals? oh, I forgot to mention the cinematic percussion, which was also in the orchestral dreams pack.

  • Quality work, Mr S. Sounds like a journey through the sunlight of the mind, or something like that.

It's a thing of beauty - I wish we had a few more choices re attack etc - but I love it. The thumbjam cello is the closest contender, but the loop point is very obvious if you want a long, sustained note.

  • Module does have an attack control for a slow attack, but I guess you know that and are talking about different sampled attacks.

yes, that's what I meant. More than one way to bow a cello. However, limitations are always a good spur to creativity. I've been deciding to use more synthy and artificial sounds, then Korg go and give us a solo instrument that sounds so good you have to use it. Oh, and Scarbee too...I think I feel some Richard Tee inspired stuff coming on. Might be time to buy those Steve Gadd drum loops and bring them into Bilbao. Yum.
