PS - one question regarding the suggestion to trigger two samples at one, one with just the word at the of the phrase, and another sample with the whole phrase - how do you do this with BeatMaker 2? Can you stack two samples on the same pad?
Some delay effects have only one repetition at their minimum feedback setting. Can't remember but tonestack's echoplex might be it.
Yep, just tried it. With regen knob down to zero there's only one repetition. No gating required. That is if I understood your question correctly. Echoplex is great for reggae/dub style stuff anyhow.
Correction: echorex apparently, not echoplex
The Duplicat app has similar features to a Wem Copicat- Which was a British version of the Echoplex tape delay- still considered by many as the top of the tree- if you don't want to go down the ToneStack route.
