Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

OT(ish): What Hard Drive to Collect Pro Tools Stems for iPad Import?

edited June 2017 in Other

My kid's band recorded an EP in a studio over the weekend. The band is collecting the raw audio files in person (apparently Dropbox is too much hassle?) , and I have offered to track and mix and master the two songs that didn't get finished.

So do I need anything specific in terms of hard drive? Using an Air2. Also, we're Mac people, if that matters.

Also: Is it safe to assume that I can even get usable stems from a Pro Tools session? The studio had some wonderful analog gear (including this wonderfully insane Roger Mayer compressor), which I assume will probably not be printed on the audio stems. But I should be able to request raw files to use in Auria, yes?
