Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

iOS 10 and iPad Air 1

My iPad Air 1 is still on iOS 9. I figure since GarageBand was updated not to support the Air 1 with some of the new features, that when iOS 11 comes out, it will possibly cripple the Air 1.

So my question is, do I go ahead and jump to iOS 10 now, learn the quirks about it, that way when iOS 11 hits, I am not forced to jump from iOS 9 to 11?

Anybody with an Air 1, running on iOS 10? Any issues? I am just thinking ahead.

  • Everything is fine here with iOS10 in Air1 :)

  • iOS 10 here on an Air1 also. No problems to report as of yet.

  • All is well here with Air1 on 10.something. A shame no Alchemy on Air1 but at the same time I am not very interested in the GarageBand workflow anyway. If they sell Alchemy packs separately for a standalone again at some point, then happy day. I only ever bought one. 8(

  • Just yesterday I held my breath and jumped from 7.something straight to 10.2. So far so good, though I had to say farewell to my favourite abandonware app "LoopTwister" (I can still use it on my iPad3). True test will be my next live gig on Monday.

  • Air 1 on 10.whatever-the-latest haven't noticed any issues, always update asap

  • same here. everything working.
