Audio Interface for Launchkey Mini and LaunchControl

Hi, I have recently bought the Launchkey Mini and noticed that using it just with my onboard audio card, it sttuters, Ableton sometimes crashes, sometimes i cant even hear what i've recorded, and i cant keep the rythm. I am looking to buy LaunchControl too. My question is: If i buy a Audio interface the delay will stop? Seeing some audio interfaces i've noticed tha it has no usb inputs for me to connect the Launchkey, do i need to connect the Launchkey into the audio interface and the audio interface in the computer? Wich audio interface can i buy?
