Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
DM-1 Sample Kit Sources?
Is there a source for simple 9-sample [or 16-sample if we're gonna be really generic] freely downloadable kits? The last time we had this thread was a few years ago and many of those links are 404'd. After futzing with a battery of drum programs using LoopyHD as my MIDI Clock Master, I'm back to DM-1 which I've always loved, but have hated the built-in sounds.
I do have a bajillion independent samples of kicks, snares, hats, etc.
- Specifically, I'm looking for a sample set that is already matched vol/tone-wise instead of building my own...
(I'll start that I know for BM2 I know there is ibeatmaker.com, and .bmkz are really just renamed 16-sample archives which BetterZip can open, but the descriptions on that site are minimal and the quality varies intensely so I waste a lot of time going through those trying to find a winner.)
Any thoughts?

I put together this list a couple of years ago (so not sure how many are still active). Search for drums. http://forums.blipinteractive.co.uk/node/2206
I think http://samples.kb6.de/downloads.php remains the motherlode if drum machine samples is your thing.
Dear smart-arse @hacked_to_pieces
1. At least take the time to bit.ly your lmgtfy links.
2. Thank you for completely ignoring my statement above: "Source for simple 9-Sample packs...I do have a bajillion independent samples of kicks, snares, hats, etc."
So let's look at what you reccommended shall we?
http://www.freedrumkits.net/ - Well that sounds promising, oh wait their most popular pack is 100MB and contains 230 items.Hmm pretty far from 9.
Well then there's http://freesamplepacks.net/category/drum-kits/ - It's first kits, let's see here... "recorded five round robins and 8 dynamic levels across the board" that seems like more than 9 samples. What about this one over here? "contains 55 free MFB-522 drum machine sounds" hmm. again. seems like more than 9.
@hacked_to_pieces - Thank you for being a troll.
So you can't take the nine best samples and make kit or two from it?
Do you have Cubasis? The latest version includes 16 really good sampled drum kits. You can easily export those drum samples to other apps via Dropbox, 'Open in' dialog, etc.
Ya know, I could wade through my 300 kick/snare samples without downloading a single thing, but here's an idea - I'm sure we would all be interested to see your picks for sets of nine/16 samples.
@yug - Thanks for the thought. I don't actually have Cubasis. I've been futzing with some of BeatMaker2's built-in 16-pad sets but I'm not in love with them. Damn if I could only export the sounds out of BeatHawk.

Also, I think Goldbaby, Samplephonics and Wave Alchemy offer freebies.
