Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

  • No experience with virus, but I would assume that midi should work fine together with audio over usb.
Unfortunately on iOS you can’t select audio interface manually. Only few ‘lazy’ ports from desktop offer such option, though not sure if it even works properly (f.e BeatHawk, Zenbeats, some SugarBytes apps).
You can check if virus provides any usb related options. If there is a way to limit usb bandwidth to midi only, than it shouldn’t interfere with your main interface when activated.
You can also try to re-plug your main interface after virus usb activated - maybe as last connected interface your main interface will ‘take over’.

  • @0tolerance4silence yeap, i’ve asked both Arturia and Access, but there is no solution at the moment on ios... sad
Salade cause the virus ti2 is a great midi keyboard... anyway, i will use it through midi and audio, and forget about the usb on ipad at the moment... thanks for taking the time to answer !
