Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

  • Good video, Vortex. I appreciate these basics as I have a lot of gaps in my knowledge.
I record with 16 bit and mixdown at 33. Am I doing anything with the higher bit

  • Your mixdown bitrate is different from your sample rate bitrate. For mixdown into m4a (pretty much like an mp3) you can choose a higher bitrate like 192.

  • I believe standard OS defined sample rate for newer iPads is 48kHz, so selecting anything lower means on the fly conversion inside an app and this can end in decreased performance.

That's correct, the 2021 ipads are locked in at 48kHz I believe.
