Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

  • I did one of the MC707 ones, it was kind of awkward to be honest. The trainer was an older gent who clearly knew the 707, but there was almost no participation from the "students" so he basically was just giving a sort of extended sales pitch. It wasn't BAD, but it just wasn't super informative or info you couldn't have gotten from the already extensive 3 hours of video manual they released months ago for the 707.

It is totally a different experience with Fantom. The trainer (Scott Berry) is a Product Specialist who is interactive and encourages to ask questions, answers all questions and absolutely no sales pitch. He also gives his email address and encourages people to email him with any questions anytime even after the course is over and I had a great experience with email too. I actually attended the course a couple of times in the last few months just for the fun of hanging out and seeing and listening to how people use the Fantom. It was totally worth my time.

  • Roland should get Johnny Demarco back to do one of these!

  • Good to know other people are having better experiences than I did.
