Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

  • Does anyone have a LP3 Mini? Does it use less usb power than LPX?

I have an LPX but it uses too much power for a 9.7 iPad Pro to be able to run without a USB hub.

  • Dammit! I just got mine yesterday from Sweetwater. Time to hit up my sales rep...

And already credited back! Sweetwater is awesome.

  • I got my launchpad X on Sunday and it was that price. YAY.

Also I bought the MIDISynth Control APP so I can customize the controls. It works great you just need to update the firmware from a PC first.

  • I got a mini !

  • i have novation circuit, is it as capable as launch pad or am i missing out on key features?

  • They are different. Circuit is a groovebox. Launchpad is a controller. Not sure what the circuits controller capabilities are but the launchpads are pretty much all in one midi controllers.

  • Been considering one just for the scale modes. This might make it hard to resist!

ya , i just didn’t know if i could program my circuit as deep, i guess i could try 😂 but i am lazy and hurting for music time ugh

Honestly I doubt it lol. Tried searching a comparison on YouTube but I just kept finding videos of people using the launchpad to control their circuit. Lol.

Yeah, they definitely share some DNA but are very different beasts.

I will not answer your question (I don't know), but I can run my Launchpad X with my iPad Air 4 wihout a USB hub.

I have an Air 3 and the only controller I can run without a hub is an lpd8. Lightning port doesn't produce very much power so I would imagine you would need a hub for all those lights.

I can confirm that the LPX doesn't work without a cck3 with external power on the Air 3.

  • Just curious if some of you decided to get a launchpad specifically because of how great it is supposed to go with the new Atom update?

I had been eyeing one for a while. Atom and LK integration pretty much pushed me the little bit I needed to grab one. Was looking at the X and the Pro, but decided to get the Pro because of the chords mode and the sequencer. Figured $150 is pretty cheap for a 4 track hardware sequencer. It's pretty awesome. Just wish the iPad apps would integrate like the desktop DAWS and VSTS or you could at the least save the CC learn.

So I just for the first time have tried this. Using CCK3, powered by an Anker 20.1k mAh Powercore and Sabrent 4 Port USB, I can use my launchpad pro mk3 with my iPad. The hub isn't powered but I'm clearing powering the iPad. Works great!

  • This hub is only $9.99 on Amazon so I have 2. One for pc, one for ipad.

  • I have a launchkey mini mk3, thinking of getting a launchpad as well- anyone got experience with both? Does the pad add a lot of value?
