Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

These are what I use for video manipulation and sampling so to speak. Between all of them you can accomplish a lot. I also use TouchViz and there’s a video midi app that’s new and free but unfortunately I can’t remember the name right now. It’s iPad only and it’s at home right now

Have you looked at VFX: https://www.vfxapp.io/
I know that PerplexOn uses it a lot:

Touch Viz I love it
Glitch Clips is cool, too. Although the dev visited recently to suggest that he wants to offload the project to someone else, which can't be a good sign for support.
Kmachime is fantastic. I usually mix kmachine with hyperspektiv.
Hey thanks everyone. I have a few of these apps already but they don’t seem to do exactly what I’m after. I am interested in TouchViz. I want to be able to manipulate the playback speed and direction, not just the effects and crossfade. It looks like it might do this. Anyone know?
@Toastedghost is touch viz audio-reactive? or can you only morph the video by touching?
Yes it is shame that it not audio reaction.
