Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Syncing ab3 to hardware

I'm using xequence 2 and abl to control a deluge. I have everything on the iPad synced with Ableton link (with all midi clocks turned off), I then use midi link sync to sync the deluge to my iPad. Is this the correct way to do it?
Sorry for the stupid question but I've been trying to get this running properly for ages and this seems the best setup I've tried so far... and I have no idea what I'm doing 🤣

  • I would just turn on Midi Clock in Audiobus, and not use MLS.
You can have Link and Midi Sync both on in Audiobus.

I've actually done that now. It makes more sense having one less app running. Thanks for confirming it though. It really is very much appreciated. I can start making music again now, instead of wondering what they best way to set it all up is 👍
