Is there any app with this feature, that is present in te mpc live for example? It is a way of chopping samples in which the sample is playing and you press a pad and it becomes sliced at that point as you hear it. I like it.

    You are looking for Beatmaker 3 maybe. However it is the most complete solution for this kind of things.

    I have BM3, and it doesn’t seem to do this.

    It's been on the BM3 feature-request list from the early beta days but has not been implemented yet.
    Don't know if it's one of those 'tricky things' that might make Akai very angry...
