Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

What is LATEST VST/AU for Mac/PC you got?

I just got Waves QVox.

Waves is 30% off one more day! FYI

I mainly use Synthmaster and Alchemy for instruments and Puremagnetic Fx AU on my Mac.

Twisted Wave is a must have for iOS and MAC for me.

I don't do tons on Mac, but to be honest it is so much easier to move loops/samples in and out I find myself sketching things on there more and more.

I am hoping the "settings matrix connections things" simplifies sooner rather than later on iOS as well as seamless sample movement TO AND FROM with no extra steps.

Anyway, NON iOS VST/AU you have bought?

WaveAlchemy has amazing Bass Synth out if anyone is looking as well. It is a beast!

  • Synth: U-He Repro
Effect: Valhalla Delay. I need to have all delays. It's a disease. Maybe it'll stop if I get an actual Space Echo.

I actually saw some 30 year anniversary vid on the Boss dd something pedal and looked it up....

    Vahalla...is that a free one?

    I know.

I have a bug up my ass for a hardware granular device even though I only use it 5% of time on iOS....

What is U He? sounds like a gay dating app.....lol

  • Nope, it's $50: https://valhalladsp.com/shop/delay/valhalladelay/. Pretty good though. I love tape and BBD delays; Woodulator has been scratching my itch for the latter, preventing a Chase Bliss pedal purchase :)

Korg TRITON collection, I was going to get Reason so I can use the Reason Rack in MPC but I’ll grab it next, very happy with the TRITON, I hope it comes to IPad OS at some point. I’m contemplating Nexus 3 also.

  • Sprung for ‘The Legend’ synth from Synapse Audio. Very nice!

  • Uh I think it was Waves Kramer Master Tape and Puigchild as a buy one get one for $30. Not super exciting but very useful

Damn, thank you! I’m getting some of these today

  • Jeez. The last desktop VST/AU I bought was ReFX Vanguard..... :open_mouth: if you wanna count Reason as a plugin that's the only other music software I've purchased on desktop but that's a DAW, so I dunno...

  • Realivox Blue .... a weird little app that combines linguistics and music ... lets you program vocal tracks - yes with words... one syllable at a time - with "sculpting" ... can sound very real and human. Serious science.

But gee it takes time. And it's a Kontakt gadget - so you need all that code hanging around - but it works on Kontakt Player (which is free) ... but Blue is amazingly useful and great - if tedious - fun. One tends to be very careful about every lyric.

Would make a superb iOS app. Especially if it could integrate some "structured randomisation".

Going back to the Mac is like wading through treacle... just plain clunky.

my latest two were Black Box Analog Design HG-2 (Plugin Alliance, saturation and harmonics) and Sugar Bytes Obscurium, both while on sale
next will be Soothe2 from Oeksound as an upgrade from version 1

  • Izotope Neutron, I think shortly after it came out. Yes it is fantastic, Izotope knows their stuff.

  • Arturia Pigments. I'm not a huge Arturia fan, but like this and the Buchla Easel V. Both very cool!

Pigments was my last one too! It’s dope!

  • That is an insane price for IRIS 2. As someone who payed full price for Iris 1 + (7) , I am happy for all those who get this deal.

  • Last desktop audio software I remember buying was Fruity Loops Producer Edition...version 3, middle of 2001 or so. The free updates for life were a good value! Haven't used FL since 2016 or so, not sure what version it's up to but I stopped at 12 something.

I did get a license for Xpand!2 by Air Music bundled with an Alesis MIDI keyboard a few years ago. It had some great sounds, but the presets in Pure Synth Platinum and NeoSoulKeys Studio cover the same ground and a little more.

Oh, I did get the Korg DS-10 cartridge for my NintendoDS back in 2008...but I preferred the homebrew NitroTracker for portable beatmaking back then (pre-NanoStudio era ;) ).

Yup, I bought trash and breaktweaker today (and got the free aas player, not sure if it will be useful or not). I have most of the other izotope stuff and use it constantly, Neutron 3 eq and ozone 9 especially.

Oh, and I got a b stock lightpad block m on wednesday, cool little device, still trying to figure it out

  • I picked up Eventide Quadravox this week. Beautiful sounds. I think they have some decent sales this week as well on some plugins.

  • Last VST purchase was at least a 6-8 months ago. I have bought samples and stuff to use on iPad. Last big PC purchase was Komplete 12 Ultimate upgrade. I used that to transfer all Maschine expansion samples to my iPad.

    This one’s fantastic.

  • Wow, those Neutron and Ozone plugins are perfect for me right now. So glad this deal came along, they work great!

    Waves Codex
    https://www.waves.com/plugins/codex

Not well known but amazing sounding wavetable synth.

  • I think it was the Joshua Bell Violin Essentials and since it is so amazing i just upgraded to full a few days after.
There are still happening great things on all platforms, especially in the last years.

  • Line 6 Helix Native, for when I want a bit more power than my HX Stomp has.
