Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Bit Maestro - preview of my new AUv3 bit crusher

Heres a little demo I made of my upcoming bit crusher app.

It enables you to selectively mute, invert, or rearrange individual bits in your audio signal, creating subtle or dramatic changes in the wave form. Sounds sick!

Let me know what you think

  • @JamMaestro nice! Glad to see you deep in the AU game. You still run a great website too!

  • I'll be buying this instantly Very nasty.

  • Give it to me

  • The iOS Biscuit. Finally!

  • Cooool! When? When? When? 🤤

  • Pretty cool. Would love it if it had a step sequencer.

  • Looks excellent!

  • This looks fun, sounds awesome.
    Excited to try.

What would you want then step sequencer to control? You mean like for parameters as opposed to an LFO?

Yes. Being able to set parameters on a step. Would be great if the parameters could either be set to be static for a given step or to blend to the previous and/or next step.

  • Sounds awesome. Eagerly awaiting release.

  • At first sight, i thought it was an AudioDamage app. It has to do with the use of Fonts, Black/white/grey use and some primal colours. Beside that, an understandable clean interface.

It does seem a bit like Biscuit. Which is great, as I always wanted one of them!

The Biscuit is indeed what inspired me to make it :)

Crush could use some wave shaper curve editing (that's what I've been missing in AD Grind plus blamsoft ReSampler), then I would buy it definitely!

Hi! Could you explain more what you mean? What would be the effect of this?

  • This is an instabuy indeed! Can’t wait... 🤟

Any clue as to a release date? If you need beta testers, hit me up... ;)

  • Heres a video of the original biscuit btw

After I saw this I decided I needed one

Wavetable distortion with a few line/curve segments to edit manually.
A simple mechanism with great effect.

I was looking at the Geiger Counter Pro a while back and saw they did that. Not sure that would really complement Bit Maestro though vs a whole new type of app specialised at doing that? Can only have so many types of distortion before it starts sounding like a great big mess.

Well, you don't have to enable them all simultaneously, do you?
I do think it would complement it well because it's a very similar type (but more flexible) distortion.
My AUv3 folder is starting to look like a great big mess too so I'm more and more trying to find plugins that do more than just one thing.
But nevermind, that's just something that I found would be a great enhancement to the typical bit crushers (and the wave shaper curve of bit reduction would look like a stepped saw wave with bit depth = number of steps).

  • This sounds very good. I can imagine using it with a lot of different apps (would sound fabulous with Pure Acid

I was just thinking exactly the same thing as I was reading through the thread.
I also wanted a biscuit- but they were very expensive.
It sound great. It’s an instability from me as well. This will be the first app I will have bought in quite a while now, looking forward to it - a couple of weeks to wait- not too long 👍🏻
