Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Inter-app audio sync button

could someone explain to me the use of the inter-app audio sync button under sync options in audiobus 3.
switching it on or off I don't notice any difference. I write midi with modstep and
app loaded in audiobus are: ispark, isem, iprophet, sunrizer, imonopoly, nlog pro, volt.
Thanks

  • It enables bpm sync for apps that support it . It’s much tighter than midi clock but you may want to use Ableton Link for sync
    Hope it helps :)

so if I manage bpm via midi clock, through audiobus, from arturia beastep as a source to modstep as a destination (modstep that sends midi notes to apps loaded into audiobus) inter-app audio sync is useless. right?

the apps that support it have a playback command I suppose for example synth with built-in sequencer.

For that particular setup you don’t need it

In that situation IAA sync is needed (unless the synth with the sequencer is AU)
