Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Auv3 for tempo synced stutter repeats/build ups

Are there any auv3 plugs out there that allow automated tempo synced stuttering of the channel they sit on in such a way that allows you to automate stutters/build ups in such a way that they rev up like on edm tracks?

  • Turnado by Sugar Bytes, Perforator by Bram Bos, Atomic by 4 Pockets - come to mind.

  • You could use stepbud for this. You can draw in a crescendo on a volume channel then set every other step to 0 to make synced stutter. Once you’ve set up the steps you can save it as a preset.

  • You could also use Rozeta LFO and use it to modulate the volume of the instrument, mixer channel, pan, etc.

    Thank you for this!

Can stepbud resample incoming audio? I thought it was only for midi sequencing?

No sorry. Just midi. You need to manually duplicate the audio and offset it to get the repeat effect in addition to the gating from midi cc control. You get loads of control manually but it can be fiddly.

for iPad turnado will probably do what you want.

If you export the audio You can also use the fx in GarageBand or launchpad too, they have all the stutter, beat repeating stuff with filters and tape stops etc.

  • Don't forget Audio Damage Replicant2, one of my faves.

  • IMO Turnado is the best for this if you're using AUM, but a lot of DAW apps have this as a built-in effect - BM3, Cubasis (IAP), GB... Launchpad has a good one too.

  • any audio example what exactly you mean ? YT video .
