Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Listening to vid as I do this.

Love synths to have some sort of FX and small patch bay!

those small format desktop synths with patchbay are cool.. for me good compromise between fixed route synhs and total modular madness (which i'm trying avoid at all costs :))

recently bought Behringer Neutron which is very similiar concept (it has also lo-fi delay and build in ovedrive unit) and it's lot LOT of fun...

  • delicious

  • The Erebus is a great sounding synth as are most Dreadbox.

A friend of mine made a 6 voice poly with the Lil' Erebus modules.

I hope this makes you laugh:

    Hardware Buying?
    "Suckers."

Is it more than $240? I'm not watch the video. Won't do it. Totally OT. I've gone 30 days straight now without buying more hardware toys. Not watching or listening. Going back to coveting FF Apps.

Good. I'm still not watching that video. @thesoundtestroom Doug put out one too. I'm thinking of
stopping my pattern support for 1 month but Doug's got enough problems without a full scale revolt.

Looks like I need to start looking at the "Category" of threads to avoid the hardware porn.

  • @RUST( i )K you might want to edit the title (minor typo thing)...

  • Erebus 3 or rather a Behringer Neutron plus a Behringer MS-101 for the same price?
Guess I'd go for the Behringers. In red.

    @rs2000
if it helps you, here is little short mini-demo i made using just Neutron for all sounds - multisampled and then loaded to Obsidian.

regarding FX - just reverb/delay added and a tiny bit of bitcrusher on that "dozimeter out of control" sound on background :) That ovedrive sound was made just using Neutron's build in ovedrive circuit..

Very industrial dirty soundimg synth in my opinion.. i was very suprised it sounds far away different than some sterile "too clean" modern analog synths - Neutron can sound very dirty, industrial, hard. Great synth !
