What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. aptX Low Latency Bluetooth (Qualcomm chipsets)
Qualcomm has developed custom chips to lower bluetooth latency to 40 ms.
Their intent is to insure Bluetooth Headsets can be used for videos and gaming
but this should make Bluetooth useable for Music Makers too.
Unfortunately, Apple will probably need to be dragged kicking and screaming to use Qualcomm's chips but they have billions of devices (all of which will need to adopt a low
latency solution of some kind) for them to remain competitive against the major phone,
tablet and desktop vendors that will agree to integrate aptX in their products. There are something like 450 already for aptX.
Apple could have something in the works but it will take a product announcement to
let us know too.

40ms is still a lot!
40ms is still bit too much for real time playing imo. Somewhere around 20 is max and ideally around/under 10ms. Also this 40ms is on top of other latency, so..
Aren’t Apple going to be using Qualcomm’s chips going forward and ditching Intel anyway?
Sooner or later Apple will come up with faster bt (for gamers not musicians) and are going to call it something funky like IBT.
I'm surprised they haven't done that before removing the jack. I guess on line first person shooter gaming is not yet as big on ios.
