Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

How to sync PolyPhase and AUM

Here is how to get PolyPhase to follow AUM’s tempo, as well as get AUM’s transport to start/stop PolyPhase.

I open PP in AUM, just for convenience. In AUM, go into the Send Midi Clock section.

In there, turn on Send Midi Clock. Select PP as the Destination.

In PP, go into the Midi settings (upper left corner). Make sure Clock Receive is set to PP. Also, at the bottom, set Generate Clock to OFF. This will make it follow AUM’s Midi Clock and transport.

Keep Link on in AUM so Link enabled apps can still sync to AUM, and PP will sync using AUM’s Midi Clock at the same time.
