Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Any iOS synth app which is accepting MIDI Bank Change and Program Change ?

Just need to try something and don't have atm here any hw synth with BC / PC support .. is there any existing iOS synth available, which accepts both those MIDI messages ?

    I'd try Poison 202 first.

    The reason I suggest Poison is that I believe it's one of the few that accepts both in it's AUv3 format also.

    I started a thread a few years back. It's a bit messy, but there's some good info in there added by others since it started...

  • I think I tested Xequence's PC/BC with Magellan.

  • I know the iSymphonic accepts BC/PC messages since it has so many potential presets with all the IAP packages of sounds.

    *** EDIT 31st August 2015..... ***

    A couple of quick additions & amendments. I'll do some more testing in coming weeks.

    Virsyn apps:

    CUBE
    TERA
    Micro TERA
    all now have Bank & Program-Change functionality. MSB(0) LSB(32) + Program Change # for preset.

    apeSoft apps:

    iDensity
    iPulsaret
    Stria
    All have Program Change working in the snapshots menu. No success with Bank Change using MSB, however I see they have NRPN functionality and I'll need to test this.

    MITOSYNTH has very cool / easy Bank & Program Change functionality (thanks @dwarman). MSB(0) LSB(32) & PC

    FUNKBOX - Program Change for kits.

    CAUSTIC - Program Change ( although I'm getting midi quirkiness with any midi channel 9+. Anyone else?)
    GESTRUMENT - Programme Change for presets.
    I'll add more soon.

    NAVE - Bank & Program change using MSB(000) for Bank 1 (001) for Bank 2 etc. + Program Change. Thanks to @rad3d for adding this. I'm particularly happy to be able to do this with Nave.

    @Shazamm That post of mine is pretty old now, maybe 2014/2015?

    The posts later in the thread are likely to have much more relevant info. The op can't be changed after a certain period of time. Cheers.

  • Hey @Shazamm @panthera . How does one accomplish this. I have Model D with an arturia minilab 2. When I press midi learn I get no option to map the program select.
    Please please help. Thanks.

    @ph8aerror

    i use a doepfer drehbank , so i configured a Program Change -> fu (function) Prog - Ch1

    i guess in midi cc thats CC00
    or prgram change 00

    maybe you have to set it up with arturia software once

    you can find some information here 👇🏾

  • hi there! maybe you find this one useful for coping program changes...

    https://patchstorage.com/agogo-shuffle-version-1-0/

  • Starting with v1.3, SynthMaster One now supports MIDI Bank Change/Program Change messages and allow the user to edit banks/programs.

  • Can't test it now but I guess @GospelMusicians Pure Synth would support it too?
    At least I'd be very surprised if it didn't.

    @Shazamm Wow, thank you!
