Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

  • looks like a looper

  • I'm sure it'll bring something interesting to the table. AD always throws something offbeat or innovative in.

  • Could it be an upgrade of Replicant?

  • Dunno what it is but I want it .

That would be awesome! I so love replicant. This is actually one of the apps i won’t loose/live without it. I don’t really understand it though, but the random sounds it delivers me... woah, love them.... I am up for a new AD effect Christmas treat

Would be funny. All talking about making one, wishing for one and he secretly in the Santa’s crafting shack building it.

  • Just spent an hour watching Chris’s vids....love what he does. Recommended if you’re into ambient music making:

  • @MonzoPro Agreed! Textures galore.

  • I hope this will be THE au looper that is missing on the market

You need to check out @Chris_Randall 's Analog Industries blog... http://www.analogindustries.com/

I was home sick as hell for a few days and started poking around in it. Then I decided to go to post one and work backwards to present. (yea, pathetic, but...)

It was actually really interesting because he's been writing on it for so long it was really cool to see things transform in the music tech industry. Watching things like the iPad being launched, then the iPad/iOS becoming a viable tool for music production/creation/recording...

It was kind of like hanging out in an old dusty library and just reading old books. But, bits, not paper.

A good sense of history etc.

But I REALLY hope the next thing he works on is getting Axon's midi working! :)

Thanks, I’ll check it out :)

Yeah I agree, Axon could do with some final polishing. And much as I love AD apps, they do freeze up a fair bit for me, particularly when using more than one instance.

I’m not complaining though, I can put up with the odd blip.
