Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

D-1 Hybrid Synth from the AudioKit Team.

  • Will be interesting to check out for sure!

Does it do ring-modulation between partials/tones?
Does it include both 'sampled' and 'synthesised' oscillators?(If yes does it do PWM too?)
If samples are supported with it also import user-samples?

Since Roland has been a bit 'sloppy' on iOS this is more than welcome :)

@Samu He been advised by another well known dev and blogger not to mention the big “R” for fear of copyright pull! So let’s just say Matthew put together another beast !

  • My first polysynth was a D-10 so a new take on LA synthesis will be definitely worth a look. While the world went mad for FM, I was always firmly in the LA camp.

If that’s the case I will never ever buy or touch anything from the ”R” company, their loss and lousy PR :D

  • Is there any chance of this being AU?

  • I always wanted a D50 when I was younger, but I always wanted a Korg Wavestation too, but hardly ever use it :D

Hence the reason why Propellerhead removed Rebirth from the AppStore...

    Yes.

    • 64-voice poly synthesis. (In comparison, Synth One has 6-voices).
    • 200+ presets by Brice Beasley, Red Sky Lullaby, Electronisounds, AfroDJMac, and more
    • Dual layers per voice. Keyboard splits. And, Arp/Seq can be routed to specific layers.
    • 3 LFOs. LFOs can modify other LFOs.
    • Plus, 1 Gigabyte of custom original PCM sounds. Recorded from vintage Analog & FM sound sources
    • Space-saving Compression. The whole app is under 150mb

This is crazy. I’m quitting my job and going to the Bahamas with this.

Oh yeaahh this is sounding good!

  • Is it Christmas already?

  • iWavestation is a high-priced hybrid synth from Korg,
    D-1 is an AU instrument.
I'm quite excited about this one!

  • Sounds dated. I like it :p

  • For those like myself unfamiliar with LA Synthesis, this is a great read.

  • Looking forward to checking this synth @analog_matt when will you venture into the drum synthesis realm?

    Really sparkles and insanely 80s!

  • Gamechang... I mean, cool new color on my AU palette.

    +100

  • Dang - this came out a nowhere. Cost? I'm already setting aside my pennies...

  • Any chance of an optional AU 1000 programmer app? :D

  • Now how do I get the time machine from 1983 back to 2018?

  • Sheesh, no drama ... it just lands! Great to hear this.
