Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Does AB supports MMC and/or start/stop using external midi controller ?

  • Nope, not yet, @crony - but it will in 3.2, which I'm working on now. If you wanna try it out when it's ready for beta: https://audiob.us/testing

  • Ok good to know ! I've just subscribed for the beta...

Following up on this, I recently got a Novation Remote Zero. AUM responds to some (but not all) of the hardware transport controls through MMC, but Audiobus doesn’t at all. Is it a settings thing somewhere? I’m quite new to hardware control of Audiobus.

No, it doesn’t respond to MMC.
With MIDI learn you can assign it to any note or cc event, but not MMC.

  • Yeah AB does MIDI sync but not MMC
