Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

OT: Got my first drum set. Alesis Surge Mesh Kit.

Pretty cool so far. This is my first drum kit so I am excited to learn. Also excited to teach my kiddos as I learn.

  • Pritty kewl. Much cheaper than Roland. Now we need to hear it! Also, always curious to see how these things work with external software instruments (much more realism compared to the ROMpler module) and how difficult that is to set up. Kids are adorable!

  • Yes, it is for the kids.....we believe you ;)

  • Drum kits with headphones? Damn parents have it easy these days!

It's pretty much 'plug and play' as far as iOS is concerned.
Module USB to Host -> iOS device via CCK -> Headphones/Amp

I'm triggering samples in Beathawk, BM3, Garageband, BS-16i and everything maps nicely. Sound quality is a step up from the module but not quite up to VST standards (yet). Closest would be triggering third-party samples hosted in something like BM3.
