Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Do you know this MIDI controller?

This controller is very interesting and looks like something that works for my brain and set up.

Anyone have or use?

Whats the word?

BTW, this is my fave AUDIOBUS grid based app. I dont really use Launchpad anymore now that the dev has included the template and you can even choose color of pads.

LOOPTUNES is the app. FYI

  • Dammit, just bought Korg nanopad 2. This looks very good. A lot of controls x square inch just my kind of thing.

It takes a whole different approach mentally.

Frankly it talks to me. Compact and unique.

As a side note, you using LOOPTUNES?

I think it is the bomb in the crowded market of grid apps.

You can put it in export slot and RECORD IN FILLING THE GRIDS!

Plus you can play the key of the loop.

    Any way got distracted.

  • thanks for the praise

Midifighter Twister is a really awesome controller. All the 16 knobs double as buttons as well, and you have 4 banks of them, essentially giving you 64 knobs and buttons.
That plus color LEDs and LED rings on each knob make it very powerful.

About 230 Euros including delivery from Germany (used tho), unless my eBay foo is failing me.

    So it isn't cheap.

Although cheaper than my Launchpad Pro.

Since the Launchpad Pro now has native support with LoopTunes, it looks like I will be waiting a longgggg while before I pull the trigger on this controller. Unless I find a SUPER DEAL.

No I don't but to be honest I'm extremely happy with my current rig. If anything's gonna make it different it's gonna be loopy 3. I'm a bit bored with Sunrizer but I've been using it less and less live and simply playing waveforms on Samplr.

Looks Looptunes has a bunch of cool features though. Glad you've clicked, it's kinda important to feel at home with a piece of software and an absolute pain having to wait for features to be added. Guess that's life on the IOS.

  • i have two and really love them, however, beware that the editor is shit, and an enormous pain in the ass. once it's set up it's great though.

Im curious about something. Have you used them with ableton ? If yes does the script actually allow each controller to run independent of the other ? Was thinking of grabbing 2 myself later on this year.

My live rig is always the same and it's been like this for years now. I recently upgraded minimix with aum which I use to send a click to the drummer. I also keep tweaking Sunrizer's patches and Turnado presets.

All is slaved to loopy and ticks along beautifully. I don't need link as I need an instant start stop in case the drummer doesn't start on the one or when I need to restart loopy if something is out of sync which doesn't happen very often.

In terms of controllers I use: Akai mpk mini, lpd8, Arturia beatstep (controller mode) and Roland FC-50. I use Akai EIE interface that basically is the heart of all midi and audio routing with very handy host USB ports so no need for hubs etc. Other than that it's just an electric guitar and a mic. I occasionally use Impaktor on an iPhone triggered via an epad that goes into channel 3 of EIE.

    Hope it all makes sense

  • I thought I would revive this thread? Anyone doing anything interesting with a MIDI Fighter Twister? Or 3D, for that matter?

  • Just ordered both the fighter and twister, should be here Monday. They are on djtechtools for 200 bucks each.
I’m excited to see what the twister can to with the 3x function knobs. Should be pretty sexual.

  • Any more info on this? Does it power with the ipad ?

  • I've been curious about these as well. Anyone on the forum have experience with the fighter and twister?
...i've heard the fighter is 'clacky' but to be expected w/ the arcade keys.

  • I have 2x Twister. Brilliant and works with a power bank and a pair of Yamaha Bluetooth USB midi adapters. The knobs have a great feel.

Yeah twister is awesome, I have fighter 3D too, both great, but the double encoders on the twister are amazing for iOS. The Yamaha bt adapters are great too.
Oh and the fighter has 3D motion control midi cc too, it’s perfect for iMPC 2 (aside from all the problems w iMPC 2 itself) the 4 banks are super great for it though.
