Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Boom! Wishlisted and ready to get it tomorrow. Been waiting for something like this since Abu Dhabi, but outside of Gadget. :)

  • Sadly, doesn't seem like you can export your individual slices (as a batch or even one by one).

    Looks pretty powerful otherwise though.

  • whoa, that's the intro price?

  • looks like sugar bytes just got some competition

  • An AU slicer. :)
Shame we don't have a video demo.....

  • there's a youtube video on the virsyn website but it's not working yet....
wonder if the arp and effects are available in the au

  • So Psyched!

I am board of synths and this is right up the ole sweet spot.

NOW IF THE ICE guys could get us something like an updated LINK Xenon or new Groove Station would be great. Not another reconfig of all the other synth apps I already have from them.

    I
it looks like is possible to use the arp in the AU. Very interesting.

  • Instabuy!

    We'll see.

  • hmm, they didn't respond to my question on Facebook so in celebration of my grudge I'm planning to hold out at least until an hour from now before I buy it.

  • for the moment I'm incapable of not buying an AUv3

    Resist!

  • Why wouldn't the slices be assigned to pads rather than keys, I wonder?
@Matt_Fletcher_2000 I know you're bummed about no slice export, but can you not use this as a midi instrument? What do you need to export the slices for? (Not being caustic; just wondering!)
    This sounds cool to me.

Expect a full report (or a wild guess) on what/how can be exported etc...

    on this and Samplr >:)

  • And universal...

  • Hmmm, big question for me is does the Arp/Link behave like Thumbjam and is quantized to Link when playing by hand?

  • I bought it and love it so far.
Things I've learned: the arp and effects are in the AU. You can paste audio right into the AU. No midi learn in au yet but it's in the main app.

  • Waiting for the inevitable feature comparisons with the older slicers. I have egoist, samplr, sector, do i need this? I probably do need this

I was planning buying cake tonight, oh well....these guys are inhabiting the vacuum.

No sign of the effects being available in AU mode though... Can anyone confirm or deny?

    EDIT...

seems to be, when link is on. either that, or weird latency.

Not much. Is there some technical issue, or bizarre law of the universe that makes this feature so difficult for so many apps?

I had hoped this was my much requested beat twirl replacement.

That said, I like it. For what it is, this price is the upper limit, IMHO.
