Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
iOS 7 can let apps call up presets in other apps!!
You heard it here first folks :-b
Aufx: space got an update today and one of the new features is:
"Use app-specific file extension for presets"
... Yes, I'm speculating. I'm sure Apple will tell us more in a few hours.
But it looks promising, I mean why else would presets have file extensions that are different depending on another app?

Good eye! This sounds exciting!

Ok, ok, everyone's excited! Me too, but lets take it back over here: http://forum.audiob.us/discussion/1915/anyone-pumped-about-apple-conference-today
Any other thoughts/ news on presets?? This is very intriguing. And might make the difference between fiddling around with live music and actually performing with my iPad as the ...instruments.
App-specific presets file extensions isn't anything new tho. It was a request many of us had for space and dub, and Kymatica delivered (rly fast btw:)
But iOS 7 will start opening doors for that level of communication between apps (one app calling up settings and presets in another synth/app etc).
Sorry that my update notice started such wild speculations.
Unfortunately it's pretty simple: Instead of all the AUFX apps using ".plist" as file extension for presets, each app uses their own extension, like ".aufxspace". The reason is simply that since I also have introduced preset sharing (email and open-in, etc..), there has to be some way to know if a preset should be opened by AUFX:Space or AUFX:Dub, and so on.
