Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

I use Apogee Jam for line level input to my ipad. I don't have a microkorg (yet) but I've used other synths with this setup.
Yeah apogee jam with a 1/4 inch split y cable going from the korg to it should do the trick.I would say it's your best bet because it plugs into the bottom part where you charge the ipad as opposed to the 1/8 inch headphone input that hisses. It was designed for guitars but I am sure anything should sound good. It also has a gain control on it. It's pretty pricey though at $100. Guitar center has coupons frequently though so I'd recommend waiting in those.
Line6 Mobile in is a good choice too.
cheers guys few options to consider there ;-)
also came across the following .....

and this looks promising with function and realistic cost
anyone had experiance of the above with iPad?
