Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Routing between different devices

edited December 2012 in Support and Feedback
Hello, thanks for the wonderful Audiobus! I'm having a lot of fun with it.

My question is whether, in the future, it will be possible to route audio between iOS devices; for instance recording on a dedicated device which can have several audio sources as inputs?

  • This is something we'd really like to do, @frejahel. It's still in development, so there's not much I can say quite yet, but it's in the pipe, and it's pretty exciting.
  • Hey Frejahel. It's possible if you use the Alesis IO dock. That's what I've been doing for some time now. Of course you need two iPads or one iPad and one iPhone. The IO dock is also awesome for live performances... check it out.
  • Awesome! Thanks for the replies. :-)
