Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Apologies in advance if some of these songs aren't that good.

  • Put this one up last night - DM1 and Waldorf Nave, each run through Samvada via Audiobus

  • @thelongrays
Some great sounds on there, guys! :)
Is any/all of it IOS based?

  • Cheers, just bits of iOS at the moment, but we're hoping that a new more powerful iPad this year will finally allow us to drop the desktops altogether and go fully ios.
The iPad is currently driving our live setup mostly.

Excellent stuff. Which app did you use for the koto sound? It's very dynamic.

  • I created the sound of the KOTO in Addictive synth , but you can do it on Sunrizer, Nave, Thor, Imini , Magellan and if you have time to do it, you can use Peter Vogel CMI Pro and sample the sounds with stuff you have in your home .

  • ^^ Recently made that track, and it's honestly my very first track ever. :P so i need suggestions to improve :D! thank you!

  • Newest track up now, take a listen wont you

  • hi guys ... hope u like it

  • Loving all this. Inspiring too. Not that I'm much of a composer, more of an engineer / jammer, but I have my moments;

So here's a little AudioBus noodle done on my iPhone 5 on the way home last night. ThumbJam controlling Magellan Jr, thru AD480 into Multitrack DAW.

    Hope you like it.

All iPad and a few vocals. I use Animoog, Sunrizer, PPG, and DM1 into Multitrack DAW. I was using this as a sound journal where I was posting something every week, so there are a lot of drones and sketches.

I used to have a SoundCloud a couple of years ago but forgot my info. This is my new account with my latest iPad masterpieces.

    Here's the most recent song:

  • Here's what I came up with EZ Composer Pro and then ported to Cubasis for tweaking. EZCP is a nice composition tool, but it is temperamental. It crashed a couple of time while I tried to work this out, but I'm used to saving the project often, so I never lost anything.

  • @cheesesteak - did you run a guitar through an iPad app? If so, what did you use? Nice tone on it!

  • Just browsing through these again, since I usually just caught a bits and pieces and usually on an iPhone. There are some talented folks in this forum! Great stuff!

@funjunkie27: I used AmpKit+ for the guitar (and bass). It's the Mo' Baby Blues preset with some of my tweaks like reverse delay. I loves me some reverse delay. The amp simulation is a Fargen Hot Mod which is a modded Fender Blues Jr. I'm not a gear head. I just like the way it sounds.

  • Thanks for sharing that @cheesesteak. I'll give that a try through Ampkit+. I switch between that and JamUpPro a lot.

  • Here is my latest.
