Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
11 tracks in iCubasis
Hi
I am pretty new on here, still finding my feet with IOS, but have been enjoying the discussions. videos and tracks so I thought I would take the plunge and jump in!
Here is one of my old songs, re-recorded on my iPad using iCubasis. I wondered how many tracks I could get away with on my iPad 2 and this song has 11, including several audio tracks (2 vocals - via Samson Meteor USB mic and Thumbjam (Cello) and Amplitube (Guitar) - via Audiobus) and some of the built-in iCubasis instruments, with quite a lot of insert effects as well.
I was quite impressed that it handled it very well - probably could have got some more tracks but it was getting pretty crowded. The original version was on tape (Akai 4000DS reel-to-reel, now gone) - very noisy and distorted so I thought I would create a digital version for posterity

Thank you @Evangelos!
Hey, what a nice treat. Great to hear actual songs realized on ios devices and not just noodling around. Glad you are getting good performance with your iPad 2. I have the iPad 2 as well and it's working out great so far.

Latest effort: Instrumental version of an old Yellow Day song (another of my old bands!)
Recorded in Cubasis on the iPad, using in-app drums, bass and strings (and effects) and guitars through JamUp Pro and Amplitube.
Very good track, great strings and drums. And a great use of the reverb.
Thanks for nice comments, peeps!
