Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

That's a piece of modeling/sculpting software with a great reputation.

  • ZBrush is indeed great especially on the desktop. The iPad version got a great interface lift - simplification, but its still convoluted.

If you want almost the same thing with less mental overhead may I recommend Nomad Sculpt. Single payment great and improving software (there is an IAP for quad remesh - worth it and from the desktop as well)

  • I may give this a shot and see what I can make with it. (This is coming from a person who usually hates subscription pricing.) The monthly fee is not so bad for what Zbrush can do (when I used to have a PC, I demoed it). I used to mess with a rudimentary 3D sculpting app from Autodesk that was discontinued in 2016, and I've yet to find a good 3D sculpting app.

    Big +1 for Nomad.

  • Grant Petty is the new hero of the creative CG world! To hell with Zbrush and subscription-only ransomware. Hello Nomad, here I come. 🤗

  • Yes, i agree with you all; Nomad Sculpt definitely gets my vote too - just didn’t think it was fair to mention it straight away in the initial post!

  • A couple more bonus points for Nomad Sculpt for the fact it works on my iPhone! Whereas ZBrush is iPad only. (Although to be fair, I use my iPad Mini 6 for visual art, which is where I'd use Nomad.)

And it looks like I already purchased the base app of Nomad. Not sure how long ago I did that. 😅 I don't have the Quad Remesher yet, but if I like using Nomad, I will consider buying the IAP.

If you’ve already purchased Nomad Sculpt in the past, i would definitely give it a really good go before considering a subscription for ZBrush. Nomad is brilliant, it really is.

Cool! :) I'll give that a shot first. I can see myself starting projects on my iPhone and refining on my Mini 6 with Nomad. Can't take ZBrush in my pocket afterall. 😂

The reasons I mentioned it after praising the competency of Zbrush are because this forum is substantially subscription adverse, so I gave an alternative to head off the whingers.

If you are a 3D PROFESSIONAL who needs workflow consistency and portability to meet deadlines, and not hobbyist who dinks around making pretty pictures for fun (and some profit) then Zbrush would be my purchase. Especially if you have a workflow established.

If you’re a newb 3d curious or hobbyist, get aboard Nomad. Ignore your FOMO (fear of missing out).

Yes, I’ll gladly hold my hands up and admit that Nomad gets my vote because it is, in my opinion, very good and because it’s a one off purchase.

ZBrush mobile may well be better than it, i don’t know, but i simply don’t do software subscriptions so it’s a non starter for me and I’m fine with that. Others will be happy to subscribe to use it and I’m fine with that too.

  • This is such a perfect concept for iOS. I have used Zbrush a little but a very long time ago.

I'm very very happy with Nomad for the little 3D I do nowadays so .....

  • I would really love to see Rebelle come iPad. Love it on surface pro, buts its just for painting not 3D.

Artrage and ProCreate are up to the task, but this is my favourite for inspirational working environment:

I was wondering the name of that app. I remember having so much fun in it but could never remember the bloody name. 😅

Rebelle has such a beautiful water colour engine that bleeds when wet and its soooo satisfying
But that Realistic paint studio is also very nice (purchased it from your recommendation).
