Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
AUM, renaming hardware names in the matrix
This is both a tip and a feature request.
I'm struggling with many long names and numbers in the matrix that made it hard to see what was what, so I was happy to discover in the manual that "_CoreMIDI hardware endpoints can be renamed. Tap the endpoint name in the MIDI Matrix, then tap the Name settings row and enter a new name." _
I tried renaming a few things, but couldn't find the "name" field it promised. It turns out that "CoreMIDI hardware" is the only category that can be renamed. Hardware. Inputs from my iConnect4, but nothing else. That's useful, but I want to assign short, memorable names to everything in the matrix to clean up the tangle of tech terms and make it easier to see what's going on. This is my feature request.
I hope my clarification will help other people who skim the manual and jump to conclusions, as I did.
Does anybody from AUM moniter this forum?

Jonatan Liljedahl ( @j_liljedahl ), the developer, visits occasionally (last recent visit July). His Discord server is probably a more direct place to register feature requests:
Correction: I discovered that renaming MIDI bus nodes in the main window does change the names in the matrix. That's useful. What I can't do is rename the instruments. For example, Hammerhead has a long name, something about 25th anniversary, that shows up and clutters the names in the matrix.
Is this not the same question?
