Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

JWM - Salvador (Radio Edit)(Instrumental Reggaeton meets Mariachi in NS2)

edited August 24 in Creations

The next track is finally released! I wrote this track for my sister's father Sal, who has been a second father to me. (My sister is actually my half-sister, but we call each other sister and brother anyways.)

I made this track in NS2 for my upcoming album to be released 31 August. The full album version will be on there. This is just the radio edit.

Cheers and enjoy. 🍻 🇲🇽

  • Very catchy melody and summery vibes, Jim. I don't know much about Reggaeton, but this sounds like it could be popular, especially if you added a vocal to it. Glad to see you doing something non-trancy, too, as trance is one music genre I seriously cannot dig. No shade against people who like trance at all, just personal taste, formed way back in my teenage years. Anyway, good one!

Hahaha! 😂 I love Trance, but honestly I needed a break from producing it. But I love Paul Van Dyk and the way Tiësto used to sound in the 2000s before he went into Pop shit. I remember when Trance went through a strange Electro House phase in the early 2010s, and that was cool. Now a lot of modern Trance is rather droll and samey. Nothing too unique about it.

    Anyways, thanks mate. :)

  • Very cool and original. Whats the synth sound?

  • Nice fun and different (in a good way!)
Don’t like the snare, though, sorry, but nice composition!

Thanks mate. Well, the "real world" sounds are various romplers (Pure Synth Platinum 2, Beathawk, Korg Module Pro). ☺️ All synth sounds in this track were Obsidian.

Thanks mate. :) Yeah, I wanted a thick and chunky snare and chose that one. 😅 I figured it to be a unique snare and an experimental choice. (I no longer make Experimental music, but I do like to experiment with music 😂).

  • Over 100 listens so far since I posted last night (my timezone). This track will be the next big thing in my catalogue so it seems.

It’s a good one. Something about the mariachi works, sound selections nice , the bass line is great, cool key change(?), it takes off man … it’s funny Gav said that about trance because I can’t stand reggaeton but neither the mariachi or reggaeton were annoying to me!! So nice work

  • Perfect song for the moment. Sitting out on my patio watching neighbors walk their dogs and waving. I found myself smiling to this. Nice happy song. I agree with @Gavinski that a vocal would sound good. There is a site called Looperman that has thousands of free things to choose from. Have a great day, mate!

Thanks mate. :) I like the Reggaeton beat a lot. Not necessarily the mainstream part of the genre but rather the beat itself. Stems from when I used to be addicted to Moombahton (remember that genre what used to be all over Soundcloud in the early 2010s where it combined Complextro with Reggaeton beats?) 😅 Yeah I'm that old and getting older.

Such a nice vibe to pair with my song. I love that. Vocals? Idk. I just don't feel like writing lyrics or having random vocals that don't match the feelings.

I will definitely check out Looperman. Sounds a bit like freesound.org so will give it a go.

That said, you also have a great day, and weekend also.

  • Even though the style of music just doesn’t do anything for me, the sheer quality of the production, musicianship and the infectious melody kept me listening to the end 👍

Excellent! Thank you so much mate. ☺️ I know Reggaeton isn't to everyone's taste, but I do love the genre and try to mix it in with other styles.

  • I like your idea of combining mariachi with reggaeton. Keep going with this concept. You could easily fill an entire album's worth of new material.

You could make the subject of one of the songs "Bitcoin City" (which is a real place being developed in El Salvador, by the way). ;)

  • I like that arp pattern that begins around 1:45. It was fun to listen to this. Made me wish summer would keep going beyond the next couple weeks

I really like mariachi and this fills the bill… sort of. Who’s that mariachi trumpeter who’s so rich and famous? Fantastic production, Jim. It’d be fun to hear that applied to one of my horn tracks.

We shall see. :) Could be a fun EP.

    Ha! That'd be a fun idea. :)

Thanks mate. Me, I'm a bit tired of summer and ready for Autumn. I seem to thrive creatively during the colder seasons. 😂

Thanks mate. :) Maybe a collab in the future between us could happen mate. Who knows?

  • Good times @jwmmakerofmusic this was a fun listen
